Captain Raydor has taken charge of a team of detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes division. Dealing with death, despair, and constant crime, Raydor works to gain the trust of this valiant team after their previous Captain's resignation. She's determined to lead the department with a more team-oriented focus, distributing credit where it is due to her fellow detectives. Unfortunately, Raydor's long history includes internal stings where the very detective she is now leading were targeted. Her greatest challenge will be Provenza – a hard-working, tough guy with an arrogant streak and a problem taking orders. While pursuing criminals and working through investigations like nothing has changed, the new Captain strives to form bonds with her new team. Each episode will find Raydor working harder than ever to achieve her goal of trust and confidence within the department.
